Recently, in November 2019, I was selected to join a group of travel professionals to travel to Costa Rica on a Sunwing FAM, or familiarization trip. We were hosted by Planet Hollywood for our stay and would over the course of the 5 day stay visit an additional 4 properties. The additional properties were the Riu Palace, Riu Guanacaste, Secrets Papagayo, and Occidental Papagayo. On a free day, I hired a driver and went to see 3 additional properties, the Westin Papagayo Playa Conchal, the JW Marriott Guanacaste, as well as the W Costa Rica. I find seeing the properties first hand incredibly helpful to select the right property for my clients.
