Zell am See -The lovely town of Zell am See is located in the province of Salzburg, about a 2 1/2 hour transfer from Munich Airport. It is located between the lake of the same name and mountains rising to 2100m altitude. It has its own extensive ski area, well serviced by numerous lifts and snowmaking equipment. Just 12 km from town is the excellent Kaprun Glacier ski area, which guarantees excellent snow conditions, even in a warm winter. One ski pass covers both resorts and there is a free ski bus between the two. These two resorts are most suitable to both beginner and good intermediate skiers.
